About the Artist

A retired art teacher, Jennifer Van Cor now paints and sells her work in Maine galleries. She retreats with a women’s art group each year to a Maine coastal island in the Penobscot Bay from which much of her inspiration comes. She also spends time each summer on Vinalhaven, Maine, painting many local scenes.

Jennifer paints primarily in acrylics using colorful brushwork to emphasize the natural beauty and energy of her surroundings. It can be best described as intuitive, colorful and lively, while maintaining the integrity of place. Her work is currently shown at Camden Falls Gallery and Yarmouth Frame Gallery, and it is widely collected through the United States.
