Getting a pass is easy! All passes must be picked up at the Effingham Public Library prior to the visit. We’ll give you a signed pass along with any specific instructions you may need, and we’ll answer any questions you may have. Most passes are photocopies and do not need to be returned after the visit!
Seacoast Science Center
The Seacoast Science Center is a marine science education center and museum with live animal exhibits, touch tanks, nature walks, and exhibits for all ages. The center is located in Odiorne Point State Park, a 135-acre seaside park with a wooded picnic grove, grassy fields, a playground, and miles of walking trails.

Children under 3 are free. NH State Park entry fee is not included with the pass.
Entering Odiorne Point State Park
The Seacoast Science Center is located within Odiorne Point State Park. All visitors are required to pay a NH State Parks use fee to enter the park. The library pass does not cover this fee.
Once inside the park, however, you will have access to Odiorne’s 135-acre seaside park which includes a wooded picnic grove, grassy fields, a playground, and miles of beautiful walking trails. Combine it with your trip to the Science Center and make a day of it!

We strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance! Walk-in admission is subject to availability and not guaranteed. To book your visit, call the Seacoast Science Center at (603) 436-8043 or book online:

- Click on the Visit tab and select Buy Tickets.
- Click on the first box that says Admission Ticket
- In the new window, choose the Pass Holder Admission option.
- Select the date of desired visit on the booking calendar.
- Choose the desired entry time and number of tickets per age category. If a time slot is FULL, please choose another time or date.
- For each ticket chosen, select:
- Member or Pass Holder: Pass Holder
- Type of Pass: Library
- Name of Library: Effingham Public Library
- Enter your Zip Code - Make sure you bring your library pass on the day of your visit. You will still need to present it on the way in!
Online ticketing transactions at the Seacoast Science Center include a small processing fee.
Libby Museum of Natural History
The Libby Museum is absolutely beautiful and perfect for artists and naturalists of all ages. Their 3,000-item collection reflects Dr. Libby’s love of the natural world, from birds and furred animals to skeletons and exotic artifacts. The displays take their inspiration from Germany’s sixteenth century Wunderkammer (curiosity cabinets) and are exquisitely maintained.

McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center has an amazing collection of interactive exhibits where you can delve into the worlds of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space sciences. They have a planetarium theater, a high-tech observatory, programming for all ages, and lots of workshops for Little Explorers!

Children’s Museum of New Hampshire
Located in a beautifully renovated mill building, the Children’s Museum is all about creativity and innovation through art, science, and adventure! There are two floors of unique, interactive exhibits where families can explore world cultures, under-sea research, brain waves, dinosaurs, music, nature and more.

To maximize fun and avoid overcrowding, the Children’s Museum requires a reservation. They offer two play sessions each day: 9:00 to noon and 1:00 to 4pm. Choose the time slot that works best for you and your little one.

- You will see a full list of available dates and times.
- Click on CMNH Admission for your desired date and time.
- Scroll down and enter the number of guests attending for each age group (adults, children, seniors, children under 1). Do not select the tickets that say “will pay at door.”
- Click Add to Cart.
- Where it says “Discount Code,” enter the Library Code from your pass.
- Enter your contact info and click Check Out.
- Bring a valid ID, your EPL Library Pass, and your online tickets with you on the day of your visit.
Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm
A family favorite! The Remick Country Doctor Museum is a working farm that includes two historic homes, a historic English barn, a stable, milk house, sugar house, an ice house, gardens, pastures, and walking trails—a nearly 100-acre property! Enjoy a guided tour or explore the farm on your own. Visit the animals in their pastures, try one of the museum’s self-led activities, and learn about farm life from interactive nature exhibits. The museum store offers farm-raised meats, eggs, maple syrup, jams, handcrafted items, souvenirs, and gifts.
