Library Open Longer Hours!

The Library is now open longer hours!

The Library will be open for walk-ins starting tomorrow. Our new open hours are Tuesday and Thursday – 10am – 1pm and Wednesday and Saturday – 10am – 2pm. We will be limiting the number of patrons allowed in the library to 5. The wearing of masks is required to enter the library and we ask that you use hand sanitizer provided by the library before you touch anything. EPL Selected for Hannaford’s Reusable Bag Program

2021 is off to a great start as Effingham Public Library was selected as the January 2021 beneficiary of the reusable bag program by store leadership at the Ossipee, NH Hannaford!

Every time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during January, EPL will receive a $1 donation! Thank you for your support!

GMCG Offers Nature Story and Discovery Time Series 

Green Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG) is excited to announce their new Nature Story and Discovery Time series for children in pre-k through first grade! This series will begin on Thursday, January 7th and occur every Thursday at 10:30am ending on March 25th. The series will take place on Zoom and include a live reading of a nature themed story and a follow up activity such as a craft, song, or outdoor exploration. GMCG is collaborating with local libraries in Conway, Madison, Freedom, Tamworth, Fryeburg, Effingham, and Ossipee and welcomes the public to attend. The Green Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG) is a community-based, charitable organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of natural resources in the Ossipee Watershed in central Carroll County including the towns of Eaton, Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Ossipee, Sandwich, and Tamworth.
