Originally from North Carolina, Lee received his master’s in information science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to working as a public librarian in Raleigh, NC and Brooklyn, NY, Lee has worked as a car photographer, web developer, and at a magic library in Manhattan. Lee has travelled throughout Latin America and studied in Buenos Aires.
He received a grant in 2019 to create a collection of books by Ecuadorian authors for his neighborhood library in Brooklyn. Lee believes in the public library as a space to foster community, learn, and explore. He is excited for the opportunity to further the Effingham Public Library’s mission and vision. When he’s not at the library, Lee enjoys playing guitar, hiking, soap making, and listening to records.
