Please ask if you want or need instruction for getting online, setting up a free email account, navigating the internet, creating a document, or any other computer or internet topics. Library staff are happy to provide brief, “on the fly” instruction for most topics. For issues that require more time, we request that you make an appointment so we can be sure to set aside adequate time to help.
All of our public-access computers are networked to a wireless staff printer.
Patrons may print black & white copies at a cost of 15¢ per page.
Students printing for school (homework or research) are not charged.
In addition we may fax documents for you at a rate of $1.00 per page.
If we do not have the book, movie or audiobook you are looking for, we can try to borrow it for you from another library within New Hampshire through the Inter-Library Loan system (ILL). Using the link below, you can search the New Hampshire Union Catalog (NHU-PAC) and request a title using your library card number and 4-digit pin. Please allow two to three weeks for your borrowed item(s) to arrive. A library staff member will contact you by either preferred phone or email when your item(s) is ready to be picked up.
Do you have a favorite CD that skips, or a DVD or game disc that won’t play? The Library offers a cleaning and repair service to library patrons and community members.
There is a charge of $3.00 per disc ($6.00 for double-sided discs) to be cleaned and/or repaired, payable at the time the discs are dropped off. The Effingham Public Library makes no guarantee of successful repair, as some discs are damaged beyond repair. No refunds will be issued if the disc repair is unsuccessful.
