As of 3/14/2020 Effingham Public Library will be closed to the public until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Curbside pick-ups will be available Wednesdays from 1pm-5pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Items must be reserved ahead of time and you can do so by calling: 539-1537, emailing: email@example.com or sending us a message on Facebook. To preview our list of available items please visit our website and click on the “catalog” tab. You can preview the “What’s New” items at the bottom of the catalog web page, or use the search engine on the top left of the screen. You may also contact the library regarding items you wish to borrow.
To ensure everyone’s safety in the parking-lot, please follow the signage on the outside of the building.
- First, drop off your items in the book drop located on the second ramp on the North West side of the building,
- Then drive around to the “Front Entrance” (the front of the building faces the intersection of Corner Road and Town House Road). You’ll know you’re headed the right way if the library building is on the passenger side of your car.
- Honk or give us a call and a librarian will come outside to meet you with your items.
We ask that for everyone’s safety, if you are feeling ill, please stay home and return your items at a later date. We look forward to seeing you once again! Happy Reading!
Stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding “By Appointment Library Services”. We are working tirelessly to set up an appointment system for “one patron at a time to use” the library laptops & chromebooks, as well as fax/print/scan services.
Our WiFi is available 24/7 in the parking lot: Effingham Library
